Veterans Lane Shoe Repair

I hate to leave a one-star review on a small business, but unfortunately, I felt it was necessary given the poor service received. My husband dropped off his shoes to be repaired. The soles were coming off the bottom of the shoe. While he could have done the repairs himself, he wanted the quality expected from a local shoe cobbler. When he picked up the shoes, he found they were covered with glue. There were areas of leather that had been scratched to remove excess glue. Other sections of the sole were still loose. He spoke with the owner, who said they were fine but agreed to "fix" the areas. While it was slightly better, the shoes are still in worse shape than when my husband initially dropped them off.

I've seen bad reviews but they were from years ago and probably former owner. Took shoes in for new heels. Owner couldn't be nicer. Shoes done when promised.

I came in to have my heels repaired just a couple of days before a party. I asked if there's any way he could get them fixed by tomorrow, not expecting a positive answer but hopeful. The gentleman said that I can wait and he will fix the shoes right away. He charged me almost half of what I usually pay other places and did a great job. I was happy to pay him double for a great service, but he wouldn't hear of it. I'm glad I found this place and will come back for all my repairs.
