In September, our family faced an unexpected tragedy. From the initial outreach with Greg from James J. Terry Funeral Home the experience was nothing short of amazing. Greg walked our family through the entire process at a pace that worked for us. He never rushed us through any meetings or phone calls and always ensured all of our questions were answered. Greg answered all of our phones calls and questions in a timely fashion. He offered suggestions and advice and gave us important things to think about during the planning process. James J. Terry Funeral home was accommodating and exactly who we needed during the grief experience.

When we realized that my wife, Suad Kawar, was nearing the end of her life, I contacted Mr. Terry based on a recommendation from very close friends. From the moment I met him, I was very pleased with my decision. Mr Terry was very compassionate and understanding. He took the time to listen to what our wishes were. He explained the process and what we needed to do. The day my wife passed, he was there promptly to handle everything. He and his staff were very patient and accommodating. They helped us through the process and gave us all the time we needed. The day of the funeral, he and his staff made sure every little detail was handled perfectly. They coordinated every aspect of the funeral and burial. They even went out of their way to include special touches based on the obituary. We had indicated that my wife was born in the mountains of Lebanon where the cedar trees thrive. We mentioned that she was strong and enduring as the cedars. They made baskets with signs on them stating that and filled them with tree clippings to lay on her casket. Unexpected and very pleasant and touching gesture on their behalf. I cannot recommend Mr Terry and his staff enough. They made a very difficult day so much easier by their attentiveness and caring.
