It's not a bed and breakfast hotel. The kitchen is closed. It's a four bedroom house. The room I was given was wrong. The bathroom is dangerous. The shower curtain and rid fell on us. The vent on the ground isn't secure. Terrible wifi most of the time it didn't work. He also said to my fiance that she isn't supposed to be there. She left that night I stayed one night. I was told I could get a refund but he never gave the refund. It was a waste of almost $1,600. I ended up staying at another hotel. The owner Mark is delusional. He thinks it's fine to not refund me. We also left a few items by mistake. I tried to call but all 3 numbers no answer and mailbox was full. Horrible customer service.

Excellent location for my needs. This is a rustic, old building kept in great shape. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is minimal. Don't expect hotel-like accommodations. The room is small with no table space for laptop, etc..., but I didn't come to work. It's ideal for a relaxing stay. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 More

Called to discuss a reservation and was actively turned away because we have children.

We stayed at the Buck School Inn for three nights in August 2022. We had booked the Brandywine Suite. Everything was as it should have been. The bed was comfortable, perhaps a wee bit soft for us but we prefer a harder bed. Most people would love the mattress and bedding Im sure. There is a HUGE TV in the room with plentiful selection of channels and apps to choose from. The kitchen is still closed due to COVID however Mark provided orange juice and yogurt in the small in-room fridge along with granola and bowls to use for breakfast. A Kuerig beverage maker was well supplied with a variety of coffees and tea. Fruit (bananas and oranges) were set out on the dining room table for anyone that wanted fruit for breakfast. The air conditioning worked well in the room and you can adjust it as you want. The Wi-Fi was fast and worked well (router was in our room). We found the exterior of the Inn to be well lit. Perhaps those who mentioned the lighting in other reviews were commenting on the entrance from the road? It is quite dark with no street lighting but that is to be expected out in the country. Google Maps on Android Auto pinpointed the entrance with accuracy. We arrived during the daylight hours and had no difficulty at all and even returning home at dark we could see the driveway entrance (but knew where it was). We recommend the Buck School Inn for a stay. While not luxurious, more like quaint, but clean and well-equipped, it served our needs for a good place to stay while in the area. We felt the amount paid represented pretty good value for a large, equipped room along with a good continental breakfast of coffee, juice, yogurt and cereal and fruit.
