This place was a disappointment. The location could have been great, but the circumstances were not. We rented online as we were out of state. The place was not at all as it was represented in photos. It is run down and not well administrated. Filthy mattress, shabby furniture, broken walkways, duct tape repairs to floors and general lack of maintenance. I would not recommend this rental.Additionally: *The initial inspection was after we had already signed a 6-month minimum lease. No two descriptions of the leasing agreement were alike on the sites where the property is listed. Every routine maintenance job was charged to us at the end of our lease term. From plumbing to peeling paint. A charge was added at the end of the lease term for the days our children visited us. The landlord is attempting to withhold nearly half of our security after tacking on erroneous charges for things listed above. We have reached out and asked them to return our deposit and we have not heard anything from them. It seems we will need to take legal action.

This is a great place to stay. Whether you're looking for temporary or permanent accommodation. You are so close to the nature and you can experience some calmness and some really cool animals. The hosts are the best, and are very friendly, sweet, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place, whether to live or to stop by or take horse riding lessons.

March 2018 Our goat, Oliver Star Dust, our peacock Bo Diddley and our new brood await spring. Snow so magical so late in the season! In this ever changing world some things are worth preserving. Discover LilyField Farm March 1718 The large field stones heaved up from the ground, freezing and thawing cycles of winter were being gathered to make way for the new planting season. Those red rocks and boulders offered up by the earth, became walls. Those stone walls of red rock sheltered and provided peace and rest for farmers, Revolutionary soldiers and many travelers. For Three centuries, people have laid their heads to rest here at LilyField Farm. Now you can too. It's a sunny Saturday morning. You return from the organic farmer's market, CSA, park your bike in our old spring house. Rinse your fresh picked finds under the spring water taps. Imaging cooking where you can envision a multitude of hearty meals being whipped up over the past 300 years. If this sounds like a great place to call home contact LilyField Farm to see what delightful, designer furnished apartments or co-living spots maybe available. Business Response on ChamberofCommerce.com Mar 6th, 2023
Dear Eileen and Lance: We are sorry your stay at Lily Field Farm contributed to your unhappiness. Our guests’ comfort has been our priority for over 30 years. We are concerned that your experience here for a few months last year was not to your liking. Constructive feedback is helpful to small businesses – and a good way to resolve such matters is to contact them directly. Always, we look to improve our guests’ enjoyment of our historic farm. It was a pleasure to get to know you, your children Linus and Maren, and friend Hayden.

FOR CLARITY, PLEASE NOTE OUR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
â—¼ Our housekeeping crew deep-cleans each apartment biweekly, and weekly upon request. Our landscapers mow and groom the property weekly.
â—¼ Guests complete an inspection checklist upon arriving and departing and are encouraged to report any and all concerns so we can promptly respond during their occupancy.
◼ Our units are rented as completely designer-furnished, as pictured in the listings and detailed in our leases. Guests need to be sure “fully furnished” is what they need and want.
â—¼ Our contractor recommended that we temporarily place tape over a short cosmetic hairline crack in one of the ceramic floor tiles. Also noted during move-out inspection: discoloration of one mattress. We installed a new high-quality queen mattress, new memory-foam topper, and our designer bedding.
â—¼ Guests use the attractive slate pathway installed in 2020 by professional contractors. Another pathway on the property is undergoing repairs.
â—¼ We do ask our guests to pay their rent on time. This is not an unusual lease requirement.

You arrived from out of state after seeing our detailed online listing with numerous photos. We happily accommodate live video tours and chats. Before you signed your lease, your delightful “best friends” visited LilyField Farm and the apartment you were renting to do an onsite tour. They took additional photos to report back to you. Your adult daughter and her friend stayed for two weeks in the unit before your occupancy. In short, we take pride in our hospitality and attentiveness to our guests’ needs. Best wishes to you, your delightful family, friends, and dear little dog Pip. We hope Pip and your cats recover from the anxiety of your relocation. Let’s talk soon.
