Dr. Yingling didn't want to answer my questions. Dr. Yingling never went over my complex medical history or medications, and didn't want to show me what she was going to put in my mouth or tell me the medications that she was using. Dr. Yingling let her temper get the best of her and directly went against my wishes. Due to her lack of transparency I ended up leaving her office in an ambulance.

Went to Nicole Yingling DDS in the summer of 2020 because she was highly recommended by my local dentist for a root canal and other surgery that my normal dentist didn't think he could perform successfully. As for the procedure it went "ok", and she was able to see my within a few days of my initial call. However, I was in a lot of pain after the surgery, and I called twice in to her office as she advised if there was any complications. All she told me was to come in for yet another appointment a few days later so she could see what the issue was. She supposedly didn't want to issue more antibiotics or pain meds over the phone even though she told me she would when I was in for the surgery the first time. Really? She should have already known what the issue was since she is the one who performed the surgery on me not even 3 days prior. I feel like her only goal was to get me to come back into her office as many times as she could so I would have to pay a deductible which was $40 dollars per visit even if I only talked to her. Which if you are wondering "Yes" she did charge me just to come in and look in my mouth for 30 seconds. Secondly and probably worst of all about this place is their lack of clear pricing policies. Granted it's my fault for not getting a full pricing breakdown on everything that needed done ahead of time but I thought I could trust this lady, and her practice since she came so highly recommended. Do not make the same mistake I did regardless of how many people recommend her. I am now having to pay over $1100 dollars out of pocket after I was assured everything they were doing was covered by my insurance. As it turns out after paying my initial $400 dollar deductibles TWO times totaling $800 dollars for two different surgeries the day of my procedures. I was later sent a bill in the mail about a month later for an additional $1100 because apparently my insurance did NOT in fact cover most of the procedures that she performed on me. Which how would she have not known that if they did a request for clearance in advance like they say they did. Or that fact that I have a well known insurance that millions of people use. You are going to tell me she couldn't tell just by looking at my insurance and from previous patients examples if I was covered for what she wanted to do? It's not like I am carrying some obscure insurance that no one takes it is a national brand. I even asked that question in advance as I did not want to get stuck with a huge bill. That seems to have happened anyway. So again if you are stuck going to this woman to have surgery please please please contact your dental insurance prior to going and make sure that everything is going to be covered ahead of time personally. Do NOT take her office's workers word for it as they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you in that seat so they can make money off of you. That is sadly what happened to me. I will never go back to this doctor even if my teeth were on fire, and she was only dentist left on the planet. Too many other options around my area to deal with this kind of unprofessionalism. I even cancelled my future appts with my current regular dentist and dropped him as well. It was his fault in the first place for recommending her to me for a quick surgery, and he praised her in the first place which is why I went there. If he has that bad of a judgement about his colleagues, and how the treat their patients I don't think I want to trust his judgement on my teeth either.

I just had the absolute best experience with this office. I called for a consultation for a root canal. The receptionist requested my insurance information, asked permission to put me on hold and came back with verification that I was in their network. Thorough!! After inquiring as to my complaint and the severity (I was not in any urgent distress) he was able to give me an appointment for the following week. THE NEXT DAY, I got a call from the office explaining they had a cancellation and asking if I would like to come in. YES. I went in and from the start, every staff member I encountered (Spencer at reception and Lori assisting the Dr) was DELIGHTFUL Spencer and I were laughing so much I wasnt even nervous about my impending doom. I was given paper work to complete, and a breakdown of office charges as well as the probable patient responsibility considering my insurance. Spencer explained that the Dr would do the consultation and possibly the procedure if there was enough time. I was called back and Lori, with all the concern and care of a Pre-K teacher, took the requisite X-rays, answered my questions and showed me a short video on the procedure. Enter Dr Yingling (Major Good Witch Glenda vibes). Again, DELIGHTFUL. She remembered me from ONE VISIT TWO YEARS AGO. We talked and laughed and then she explained my particular circumstance and what to expect from the procedure. After I agreed to go through with it I asked if we could pleeeeease do it that day. She smiled and asked Lori, assuring her there was no pressure, if she would mind staying late (I didnt realize it at the time but they were almost due to close). They both agreed and STAYED OVER AN HOUR AFTER CLOSING to do my root canal. The procedure was relatively painless and whenever I experienced discomfort it was immediately rectified. I was given prophylactic pain meds (Tylenol) and pain management instructions before I left the chair. At check out I was given written instructions as well as Dr Yinglings PERSONAL number with the insistence that I call with ANY problems. It is now the next day and I am pain free and SO grateful to Dr Yingling and Mason-Dixon Endodontics. In case this review did not make it clear, I HIGHLY recommend this office for your endodontic care.
