When I scheduled a sit-down appointment online, it said 60 minutes but it took 3 hours for us to complete a simple return. The agent Yun Zheng did not explain the questions and replied with Don't worry about it when we asked questions about prompts on the screen. During the entire appointment, the monitor was turned towards us and he only asked the questions that came up on the screen without explaining what they mean. We had questions about stimulus checks and they were also unanswered. He did not make us feel comfortable or reassured that we are getting our taxes done right. He did not know how to properly use the Tax software and had to call his manager and wait for a lady technician to come and help him with an issue that turned out to be a certain checkbox not being selected. When it was time to print our tax returns, the printer was not working and we were provided copies with text that is either half printed or faded. When we checked the tax returns, our occupations were not correct. We went home and completed the same return on TurboTax which shows more in federal return with the same exact documentation. For a fee that Jackson Hewitt charges, you would think that you will get a qualified tax professional who will get you additional tax deductions that online software doesn't provide and your return will be double and triple checked. But that's not the case here and all you get is prompts on the screen that you have to answer yourself with no help from the employee. We will not be using Jackson Hewitt ever again and will file an amended return with TurboTax live experts that charge less. I am not affiliated with any tax company.

They had my W2s for almost a month. Nobody answers the phone and nobody calls you back. I had to pick them up and take them somewhere else
