I have been taking lessons from Mark for about a year now and let me say its been the best thing Ive done. Guitar has been something I have always wanted to learn and I had started with an online app. After a couple of months, I knew that I would much rather take in person lessons and Mark was recommended to me by Chris from Woodshed Guitar Works. I have seen so much improvement from my lessons with Mark and he is always happy to answer my many questions related to music theory and playing techniques. Mark is a very talented guitar player and is very down to earth and his encouragement has really driven me to become a better player. I listen to a lot of different styles of music and Mark has helped me learn core fundamentals, play rock, country, and finger style songs. You can really tell that he cares about his students and works hard to help them get where they want to be. I would highly recommend reaching out to Mark if you are interested in learning how to play guitar.

I reached out to the Carlisle School of Music in February 2023 asking to take acoustic guitar lessons. Having never owned or played guitar, Mark Focazio welcomed me in for a lesson. From there, it's been nothing but a pure pleasure learning and developing my own technique to play guitar. I've even performed at several open mics in the Carlisle Area. Mark has been such a great influence, patient, and knowledgeable teacher with me. He's been able to work with and encourage me not only through reading music and playing, but how I can make songs my own to accomplish my goals. Carlisle is a vibrant town with many talented folks. Having the ability to learn and enjoy live music is a great experience. I found the Carlisle School of Music to be super flexible with my work schedule and it's located close to my home so getting to lessons and back is incredibly easy. I hope anyone who is interested in wanting to learn and play finds their way to the Carlisle School of Music. It's definitely worth it!

It was a "dream" of mine to learn to play guitar, but after having taken lessons elsewhere, I was starting to think it wasn't gonna happen. A friend/musician referred me to Mark at Carlisle School of Music and im at the point that I look forward to lessons and can't wait to get home to practice.
