I'm writing this review to warn others of how Jim and 3D Keepsakes runs. Here is my story. I met Jim because I'm in a band that played PA Steam Fest and thought what 3D Keepsakes had to offer was neat. I also was hoping for a wedding cake topper and thought being in full regalia at the show would be exceptionally neat. After looking at the display models, I decided to pay for a 3 inch figure of 2 people in HD. With shipping, this is over $150. Silly me, but I paid in cash thinking this was a trustworthy business. This was on August 21st. I soon received proofs, but then also received emails saying that they were having issues with printing it. Weeks rolled by, and since the wedding is in October, I started to wonder if this was even possible. By mid-September, I started to receive emails that they were going to give the figure one last try before giving up and issuing me a full refund. Finally, on October 3rd, less than 2 weeks before the wedding, the package arrives. I open it to find that now I have miniature 1.5 inch figure. The company even labeled it as such, as you can see in the photos. I'm not sure what made it "high definition" as there's very little detail. See the photos. On top of that, one of the figures detail is bent and we certainly won't bend it back as the chances of it snapping off are good. I took these issues back to Jim pointing out that we paid for a 3 inch figure, not the 1.5 inch figure that we received, and asked for a refund now that we have an unusable miniature (could you imagine this on top of a wedding cake?) that we waited almost a month and a half to receive. He responded, "You received a 3 inch print but it's SCALED to that size because you are sitting. If the nylon material were pliable and your 3D print stood up, it would be 3 inches!" He followed that with, "We do not offer refunds - all sales are final! Especially after printing numerous times and extensive touch ups to make props in pose printable." Apparently, I have to pay for their mess ups. This was all an elaborate an excuse to downgrade our project from a 3 inch order to a 1.5 inch figure, which we can't even use. I have no idea what I paid for in the extra $50 for "HD". The pictures speak for themselves. Since my wedding was less than 2 weeks away, there was no cake topper and I am left with a useless miniature that I have no idea what to do with. I got conned and I would suggest you heed this warning.

If I could give this zero stars I would. We were introduced to 3D Keepsakes at a steampunk convention and intended to order a 3 inch model from them for our wedding topper. This occurred months before our wedding and we were assured by Jim (owner/employee) that our model would be received on time. Jim took numerous photos of us in case certain details wouldn't show up, including the guitar and musical saw. We paid for a 3 inch model of two people and paid extra for an HD model (whatever that actually means, I'll never know). An image of our receipt is included, so you can see the extra charges we paid for. When all was said and done our order kept being postponed with the excuse that the manufacturer was having a hard time with the details. Instead of contacting us and refunding our money with any sort of apology, Jim decided to have a 1.5 inch model sent to us that looks like complete garbage. Mind you we received it about a week and a half before our wedding date. We kindly brought this to his attention and asked for a refund, to which this was his reply: "You received a 3 inch print but it's SCALED to that size because you are sitting. If the nylon material were pliable and your 3D print stood up, it would be 3 inches! The standing scan you guys took was too distorted, so as I told you we would use the sitting scan if we had too and it would be Scaled, just like the guitar and saw are scaled to size. We do not offer refunds - all sales are final! Especially after printing numerous times and extensive touch ups to make props in pose printable. Jim" I believe we were completely ripped off and because it was paid for in cash we could not do anything about it. I would like others to know that this business is actually a SCAM! I'm sure there are other companies doing a way better job and would look elsewhere.
