I have found TenderYears at Camp Hill to be a great childcare center for multiple reasons. First, the workers there seem to genuinely care about the little ones that they are watching. You will often find the teachers reading, singing, and playing with the kids, not just making sure they're safe but also enriched. The feelings for many kids seem to be mutual. I have seen parents with kids 2 to 3 years older revisit the infant classroom to say hi to their former teachers. Second, the director and assistant director care about their staff. I have spent some time at the center while breastfeeding my daughter and have seen both the director and assistant directors checking in on their staff and helping out in whatever ways they can. They don't just stay behind the desk. They are in the classrooms supporting their staff. Third, they know their stuff. They have a variety of toys, equipment, and books to help support kids at different ages. One of these is the use of "indestructibles" to support the ways infants "read". I'm often checking in to see what my daughter is using at the center and buy versions of their toys for use at home. Overall, I've had a very positive experience at this center. It is often difficult trying to find a place where you'll have your kids spend the majority of their week, especially when theyre just a couple months old. However, I have seen her grow each day. She is happy and healthy and meeting many of her developmental milestones. It also makes me happy that when I drop her off in the morning she smiles when she sees the familiar faces at the center (as opposed to crying) which suggests to me that she associates being there with positive memories.

Tender Years has been nothing short of wonderful for my son. He's been there for over two years, and his development has been right on track, if not accelerated in certain areas. They managed COVID with the utmost care and safety of all of their children. Every teacher and director we've interacted with has shown the utmost care and compassion for our son and our family. I highly recommend TY (we went to the Camp Hill location) to anyone looking for childcare and early education for every age group they serve.
