James a miller was my atty in 1992 in a divorse case. Mr. Miller procured all the signatures for my divorse, told me it would take a few weeks even months for me to get a notice from the courts because the opposing lawyer would do the final filing. I just had to go home and watch the mail. When it never came I called the firm to find that Mr. Miller had left the firm, and I would need to have an appt. When I went in they told me the filing time had lapsed and I would have to pay 2000. to start the proceedings all over. I had no more money as a single parent. My husband retired and then passed away leaving us nothing. He was an exempt state worker not required to leave spousal portion of the pension and was mentally incompetent when he passed. Our daughters student loans have been a hardship on both of us as my husband had promised to pay them when she enrolled in school but made the assumption he would be alive.
