My youngest son started his freshman year of high school during the pandemic. Unfortunately, my son's school closed at the end of the school year due to financial issues. Hence, he moved onto a second school for his sophomore year. Again, a decision was made to move him because the faculty didn't put a lot of effort into teaching, and he was learning very little and falling behind. We made the decision to move him to ANC for his junior. It wasn't easy for my son to start at a new school in his junior year, but I have to say everyone from the administration to the faculty to the students have been very welcoming. My son had to work really hard to catch up academically, but I felt he had really great teachers who supported and guided him throughout the school year. And he ended up being inducted into the National Honor Society. ANC is not just about the academics or extracurricular activities, they really put the effort into providing the foundation for your child to develop into a well=rounded young adult.

Although ANC is a small school, it has strong opportunities for students to pursue different interests from sports to arts to academics. In my time what stood out the most to me was the relationships with teachers and how they care for your personal future.

I graduated from ANC in 2019. I am so thankful I ended up attending and going to a private school for high school. All of the teachers and staff care for each and every student, try their best to form relationships and care about each students well being. They make it easy to find a home at ANC. Theyll teach your kids the little things like shaking hands with people when greeting and eye contact while conversing. My only regrets are not involving myself more.

Big ANC fans here! I stayed in the girls dorm and attended junior and senior year, graduating in 1999. I have such nostalgia for my time there, as does my husband who graduated in 1998. Our son is just finishing up his sophomore year there. He loves it and one thing he often shares with us is how the teachers and staff truly care about the kids. His favorite activities at ANC are soccer, ice hockey and the performing arts (dont miss those shows-theyre really well done with a lot of work put into them)! There are some changes going on, as with every institution, but Im positive ANC will become EVEN better!

I graduated from ANC 25 years ago, and now my son is there. Faculty and staff are caring and work hard to foster a great learning/growing environment.
