I have a herniated disc and first scheduled an appointment with Rothman Orthopaedics Blue Bell after a friend recommended them. When I first experienced severe pain, my primary care recommended me to a chiropractor. I felt like I wasn't improving and was concerned I hadn't had any imaging done. On my first visit I received an x-ray and diagnosis from the phenomenal Dr. Yan Gu, with an MRI scheduled. After the MRI, I returned for a diagnosis and plan of action from Dr. Gu. I unfortunately have a large herniation so surgery was something he was concerned I may need but recommended we first start with an epidural of steroids. He performed the epidural and was extremely professional and it was a great success. I still manage pain with a prescription but have a clear path forward and went from a pain of 10 to 1 - major life improvement and I'm very grateful for that. I will now be scheduling PT with them. I also want to add that all of the staff, from reception to all medical staff, are awesome. I have always been treated with care and respect. Dr. Gu described everything in detail, was pragmatic about my diagnosis, and has a clear path forward for my treatment. I feel like I am in good hands and would recommend them to friends and family.

My husband came in totally debilitated from back pain. We were recommended to Dr. Mangan. Our first appointment with Dr. Mangan was amazing. He understood our frustration, pain and frustration. He listened to our concerns and totally calmed our fears. We never felt rushed with him, he took time to listen to us. Long story short, scheduled surgery within 2 weeks of that 1st appt and that surgery changed my husbands life. Seriously, fabulous doctor. Thank you Dr. Mangan!

I previously have seen a different orthopedic office, that hasnt done a thing for me except want to go right to surgery, at Rothman, Dr. Kwok has explained more to me in 15 mins then, the other, and I cant say how happy I am with him! I will be continuing my treatment with him and never looking back! Thank you Dr. Kwok for caring about what you do!

I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent visit to Rothman Orthopedics to see Dr. Charles Langman. Unfortunately, the experience was highly unpleasant and fell well below the expected standard. The experience started with the front desk not finding our appointment despite us providing the confirmation letter. Automatic X-rays were ordered without any discussion and without the ability to fill out patient information ourselves, which seemed to be done purely to increase the billable amount. Once in the exam room, and because of the issue with the system, a Clinical Support Staff had to manually fill out the patient information. The nurse who entered the information yelled at us when we were trying to provide our daughter's height and weight in metrics, slammed the door, and left the room. My wife and I were considering sharing the unpleasant nurse's behavior with the Doctor at the end of the examination. When Dr. Langman entered the room, we politely greeted him, "Hello, Dr. Charles Langman," as his name tag read the full name. Instead of focusing on our daughter's diagnosis, he insisted that we call him Chuck and lectured us on why we should do so, which was unprofessional and inappropriate. Finally, we were informed that the X-rays were unnecessary and irrelevant to our daughter's hip problem and that we needed to see another specialist at Chop or Nemours. This experience was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable. We requested that we are not held financially responsible for the unnecessarily ordered X-rays. We have never heard back..
