Office staff were very unclear about pricing, I am younger and didn't really understand what exactly I needed done to my tooth at the time as this was the first dentist I went to on parent recommendation. Felt like I was taken advantage of monetarily and made to pay relatively high prices for relatively subpar treatment. I had a root canal & core buildup done on a upper right tooth, one next to the canine, which went fine. Although, I was never presented a treatment plan and was told I would need to pay ~$900 for the root canal. The office assistant told me this is all I would need to pay, and I would be fine and my tooth would be back to normal. Not having gone to a dentist before, other than pediatrics when I was younger, I had no idea there was also a core buildup that was needed to fill the hole left by the root canal. They presented a ~$350 offer to me when I was sitting in the dental chair post-root canal with a hole in my tooth. It was either have the core buildup done then or what I assume would be walk out with a hole in my tooth. I felt cheated and like I had no other option as I didn't want to leave this place with a literal hole in my tooth, so I paid for the core buildup I wasn't informed about earlier & didn't know about because this was my first time at a dentist independently. I had a temp-crown placed on shortly after, and paid for a crown. My gums surrounding the tooth since the crown was placed have been hyper sensitive to any pressure from the sides, even after consistently flossing & brushing after every time I ate. My gums surrounding the tooth were constantly feeling sensitive after any movement of the tooth. No signs of gingivitis or any other gum condition causing it. What started as hyper sensitivity, which I thought was normal and would go away, eventually lead to a gum boil that appeared on the front of my gums. I had no idea what to do about it, and having paid the amount I already have to this business, decided to go to another dentistry. Turns out there was multiple chunks of cement trapped inside of my gums from the permanent crown being placed on, causing the hypersensitivity and boil. Went to another dentist who saw the issue, and removed the cement in my gums for free. Also informed me that he has patients that come from this dentistry with issues that need to be fixed pretty regularly. The entire experience with this dentistry was a nightmare.
