Went back to store for advice about deck project, buying more paint or stain for deck boxes and benches on Sunday , and was treated in a rude and unhelpful manner by staff, after I just spent 700.00 at this store. I won't ever come back here again.

I have used Sherwin Williams paint all of my life. I think it is one of the best paints/stains available. I also appreciate their tech support, notice of upcoming sales and service. Last weekend (Labor day weekend) I called in an order for a 5 gal pail of Super Deck stain. Picked it up and asked about getting another 5 gal pail plus some 1 gal cans. The computer inventory showed the correct base paint at the Easton store. On arrival at Easton Erica found the base paint. But I then discovered the difference between semi-transparent and solid stain. Erica explained that I needed a sample of the dried stain to determine the best formulation for a solid stain. I went home, got a paint chip and returned to the Stefko store. They had the base paint for solid stain and made a 5 gal pail of the solid stain to go with the semi-transparent already applied. Tuesday, I talked with Greg, the store manager. He explained why the second coat of stain needs to be applied within 7 days (curing of sealant begins - limits penetration) and told me lots of people apply solid stain over a semi-transparent first coat to improve appearance and longevity. Marvelous service and good sales prices.
