Lark

Simply a wonderful restaurant. The service, the vibe, THE FOOD, and just the whole evening was fantastic. Cant say enough about this place.

We love food and are gourmet cooks at home. When we go to restaurants it is always with trepidation. No need to worry at Lark, the food was exceptional, this was only the second time that I have ever been in a restaurant when the chicken was NOT dry and overcooked. Just a few minutes of over cooking will take away all moisture and flavor. Restaurants often deal with this by adding a sauce to provide moisture. Not so at Lark, they had a perfectly roasted chicken breast that was so moist and tender that you could almost cut it with your fork and no sauce, the chicken was served with farro, broccolini and carrot puree, just perfection. The amazing part was that this food was made for a party of over fifty people to all be served at once. The Lark brought out exquisite fresh salads ,two per table and two main courses for the table that were truly fabulous, one chicken and one fish.There was a pasta course that was delicious. The desserts were a perfect assortment of cookies and petit fours that complimented the meal exquisitely. But - the truly amazing part was that the staff was absolutely fabulous! They really paid attention to detail and were totally friendly and attentive toward adults and a three year old child ! And I mean the staff with no exception! The restaurant is located in an out of the way place in Bala Cynwyd in a small hotel on the second floor, a bit hard to find but well worth the effort. If you want an excellent meal with excellent service then The Lark is the place to go. Apparently, the owner also owns Laurel in Passyunk East, another great restaurant! Cudos! and thank you!

Starters, pastas, dessert, service and atmosphere were incredible. Everything was great but the wagu steak and duck were both tough / not cooked properly. Will go back but ordering entrees with caution.

Our first meal at Lark closely following the opening was fine. Our second time dining at Lark was incredible. Every dish was better than the last. The bucatini we had last night was unreal along with the pork chop and especially the desserts. My wife also enjoyed the zero proof cocktails. We will most certainly be back.
