    For a long time was happy with Erie. In the last 2 years, my daughter's car was broken into and stolen in Columbus, Ohio. They did pay for a rental and to have it fixed after it was recovered both times. Great. However, they just notified be that they are not renewing my policy in a month because of that. Something that I had no control over and that was deemed criminal by the police reports. If they don't want to pay insurance for stuff that happens to cars in a city, then don't be an insurance company. People pay monthly for that to be there when some thing happens. For them to drop me or anyone else because of that is pure greed.

    After my accident, Erie treated me like a friend and a valued customer, not like someone who just smashed their vehicle into pieces. At one point I even told someone that I was surprised they were being so kind to me, and he said that they work for us, and I had never really thought of it that way. They really made me feel like they were working to help me. I was so relieved with the process. The accident and the situation was awful, but every time I talked to someone from Erie, I felt 100x better. Both my local agents (John S. Dunn Agency) and the adjusters were attentive, helpful, and kind to me through the entire process. I also felt like I had been fully prepared by way of the insurance coverage itself, which they helped me previously acquire to fit my needs as a driver. I was able to move on from the situation in better shape than I had been before and I love my new car. There is a reason you don't see Erie ads with funny animals or gimmicks, because they spend their money on giving you the best possible service. I felt like the world was ending after I totaled my car, but everything came together quickly and worked out for the better. Thank you very much to everyone at Erie.
