Total Health Dentistry Altoona

I was really hopeful about this dentistry, but the experience with the dentist fell short for me. The staff were all great and helpful, and I really enjoyed my cleaning, but after the initial visit with the dentist, when I came in for my treatment, she barely said anything to me. So if you prefer to be walked through whats going on during your treatment, or just a recap, this isnt your dentist. She finished the work in my mouth, got up, said ok, and left the room.. On top of that, I left with an uneven bite and a bunch of residue on my teeth from getting the filling replaced. I expressed my concern to the hygienist before I left, and she said it should go away over time. Ive never had that experience where they didnt try to remedy it before I left. I ended up going to another dentists office for a second opinion, to get it polished, and to get my bite adjusted. In addition to that, my problem wasnt corrected completely. The filling I had replaced had fractured, but the one next to it was debonding, and is the one that was my initial complaint. I now will be paying another dentist to replace the other filling in the same area. Ive been in pain since my visit here, and still havent been able to eat on that side of my mouth. Super frustrating that is was missed on the X-ray, and I have to go for a second treatment. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication during and after the treatment, and leaving with work still needing to be completed didnt give me the reassurance Id need to come back. I usually try to give a place a chance to remedy a situation, but dental care is expensive, and its not the most comfortable thing to have done in the first place, so I wont be returning based on my experience.
