Valley Health Partners - VHP Children’s Clinic at 17th Street

Definitely seeing decline in quality of care and weve been seeing this office since 2015 and 2018 for both my childrens pediatric needs. Last week I called to schedule a follow up visit to be told they cant schedule for next week and to call when they open for the day and request illness appointment. I call right at 8 am to get answering service and wait for a call back. Nurse calls back, transfers the call to front desk for them to tell me they cant schedule the appointment and the nurse will have to call me back again. Its very disappointing.

I cant stress & express this enough, I STRICTLY agreed to only do 2 vaccines per visit for my baby niece (I am her care taker) I even signed a form saying I refused some of the vaccines however they were scheduled for the future. I had my mom take the baby to her appointment for me & they did THREE vaccines without my moms consent. When my mother noticed they were going for the third she voiced it out by saying I thought it was only two & before my mother could even approve it & consent a third one, they rushed a third pinch on the opposite thigh. Idc whether you do 3-5 vaccines for other children at your clinic, this was against our will, prior agreement & prior consent. THE PARENT GETS TO DECIDE WHAT CAN & CANT BE DONE TO THEIR CHLD & WHEN IT CAN BE DONE. As a medical professional myself (biologist, dental professional & dental student) & someone who believes in HEALTHCARE I can very much decide for myself how I can minimize risks of high fevers, other risks & vaccines reactions for my family. This is day 3 after vaccines & Ive never seen my niece in such bad shape. I wont give this facility another opportunity for such behavior & act without authorization from the present guardian. I am reporting this incident.

I have taken my daughter here since she was a baby and it was great then. Now that I have my son, it's not so great anymore. Long wait times to check in or out or even to see the doctor. Not to mention they'll change your appointment without even calling you to confirm if it's OK or not. I changed providers once that happened. Never thought this would happen after my daughter being seen here for 13 years!
