I had a very young tech come to check my heating system. Within a few minutes, a sales person was at my door. They disconnected the heater and left 3 very old electric heaters that had extreme heat coming from the wires. They tried to sell me a new heating and a/c unit. I called someone else who charged me $25 to remove the paperwork that had suctioned on to the coils. They were rude and insisted that I need a new heater and a/c. Never again. Do not use this vendor. Stay away... Regret using this company. Very deceptive, charging both service and dispatching fees on a same call. Cost more than other service companies. Charged 455 dollars for just putting in the igniter. This same igniter costs 29 dollars in parts store. When I called, they asked for model and make of my unit. I even told them what was wrong (heater started but did not kicked in) and even told them that the igniter was probably fried. After a quick look over, the serviceman concurred and told me that he hoped he would have part in the truck for me. He came back with a new igniter and told me that I was lucky that this part was available. I felt that I was part of a play. The serviceman even tried talking me in getting my unit replaced to "save" money. I really believe I got gouched by this company. Will not use this company in the future.

As a business owner, I hate to write a negative review about other business but I need to voice my opinion so that others do not get treated the same way. Maitz completely lost it's small town feel once Horizon took over a few years back. You only get answering service and the communication seems lacking. I was on their maintenance plan and the technician informed me to get a part replaced in the heat pump. 2 calls did nothing. then stopped in person. Finally Steve (accounting admin) was nice enough to take my request to the manager (Matt Corby). No reply after 1 week. so I went back to their office again talked to his direct report Ian Bowers (Install Manager) and I was told he did no have time dig up my info, but promised me he will follow up the same day. 3 days later, no reply. I called and left a VM, then follow up with a text. reposed he will get back again the same day. still today, I got NOTHING. All I have to say is the once local plumbing place around the corner is forever gone! Use caution before signing up their services. Services: Heating system repair, Ductless heating & A/C services

Today I was driving thru north Bethlehem on a main road and a Maitz home services truck was on an intersecting road that had a stop sign. As I drove through I saw that he never slowed down to stop he drove right through through the stop sign and onto the Main Street just a few feet in front of me. After I stopped shaking because my life flashed in front of my eyes I pulled into a parking lot and called their main office. I was generically greeted by some miserable monotoned voiced guy who Barely listened to my experience with his driver and how his dangerous his driving is hazardous to other motorists, accused me of rambling and told me he has no way to track him down and that I shouldve gotten the plate and truck number despite the fact I was driving opposite and nearly got killed by that oversized truck.
