If there was a negative star, thats what Id rate this firm. The head Partner, Mark Foat is an unprofessional, stressed-out, hot head who is unwilling to explain your tax return. When I asked that he help me understand why I owed $7k in taxes, his response was what does it matter!?. This is a very expensive firm and I expected the price to include basic client service. The prior year they made a mistake in my return that would have resulted in a unnecessary $12k payment. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

Pretty disappointing experience with this business. I called during the business day and had to leave a voicemail, I explained I am new in town and I need to begin managing my own and my mother's finances (which I now manage as a fiduciary). I got a callback a day later, which is reasonable I suppose. The person offered an hour session to explain what they do for $150. I explained that having a professional manage my finances is new for me, and I was even sure if the services they offered applied to my scenario - And that I'd want to have a brief explanation of what they do and how that applied to my situation before proceeding. I think that's also reasonable. I don't care how good you are or how busy you are, charging me for a sales pitch isn't how you do it and I cannot believe they have any sense of customer service or care about their clients. In my professional experience I have worked with and hired top-notch consultants who are in high demand, and I have never heard of such a thing until now. Yes, I've paid for scoping, but that's after they pitched me as to why I should go with them...
