Yusuf Mathai, MD - Primary Care Physician

I switched to direct primary care a few years ago and will never go back. I chose direct primary care because I was tired of the increasingly short office visits and the insurance constraints and pressures of regular healthcare. Dr. Mathai is incredibly skilled clinically and has an approachable, open manner which makes it comfortable to share any health concerns. I love that I can get appointments easily and he takes as much time as needed for any issue. Having him available by phone is also reassuring since health issues don't always come up during the 9 - 5 hours! Anything that needs a specialist is easily referred out and that has been an smooth process. I have also met with Dr. McCallum a few times and she is wonderful as well. And the office would not run as smoothly as it does without Jess! Jess is also a wealth of information and provides the steady calm needed in times of uncertainty about procedures, illnesses and diagnoses. I can't recommend Oregon Health DPC any more highly than I do. Don't hesitate to choose better care for yourself!

Dr. Mathai is exceptional. He takes the time to listen to his patients, and help create solutions that are patient-centered and evidence-based. I highly recommended him for a primary care physician!

I have never been to a Doctor that would spend as much time with me as Doctor Mathai. His approach with treatment's have been well thought out and in the patience best interest! Thank you for what you and your fantastic stuff do!

The entire staff at Dr. Mathais office are the BEST! I refer all my clients, family and friends to him. We have always been able to get in right away and its wonderful to have a staff that cares and listens to your concerns. Highly recommend.
