My wife had an extremely traumatic and negligent experience here. She was referred to New Horizons for a neuropsych eval from one of her regular clinicians who suspected her of having ASD. They charged us over $2,000 out of pocket for her to get the recommended tests. The clinician at New Horizons administering one of her tests didn't even allow her to finish the extensive cognitive evaluation because she was taking too long(!!) and didn't understand some of the questions. She never got to see her scores. They never spoke ONCE to a family member (or myself-her WIFE!) to get an outside opinion or view on how she was as a child or how her interpersonal relationships as an adult are, which is standard for an ASD eval since it is literally an interpersonal disability. The clinicians made presumptions and immediately discounted her lived experience and symptoms (ones that other clinicians recognized before she was even aware of potential neurodiversities in herself). The testing experience itself was confusing and not in the least bit accessible. New Horizons fails to continue educating themselves on emerging information and research regarding neurodivergent adults. They are perpetuating harmful stereotypes and advertising services that they are incapable of properly administering. This clinic is negligent at best. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, and take your referral else where.
