The crew had a clear plan and executed it quickly. Given the magnitude of the job, they created a minimal disturbance. When they were done there was no residual mess. All-in-all a thoroughly professional job. Recommending to my friends and family!

Had TGR at our house doing some extensive renovations for a few months, two bathrooms, two room conversions, huge roof, deck, combining another room etc.. everyone was great to communicate with, bids were straightforward and based on labor and prep materials leaving us to source our own finishes. They went out and picked everything up we needed, overall a long but smooth process, thanks guys!

TGR just put up a roof for me. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, professional, and dedicated to giving me the best service. Their sale's rep followed the whole process. The roofers were extra hard workers and very friendly. I would work with them again. Happy Valley

I hired TGR to do some emergency repairs to my house, which I'll review separately when they're done. I wanted to leave an interim review of their work to repair my roof. I knew my roof needed to be replaced, but I was hoping to put it off for another few years (this has been a very expensive "deferred maintenance" sort of year for me as a homeowner). But Martin with TGR pointed out things that I hadn't noticed about the roof's condition and gave me a reasonable quote for replacing the roof and several of the barge boards, which were rotten. I was really worried about having them do this work in November with a major storm bearing down on us at the end of the week. But they said that they could get the job done, and I believed them. In just 2 and a half days, they ripped off my old roof, installed the new one, re-installed my attic fan vent, and replaced my old metal roof vents with a new, ridgeline vent. I was shocked at how fast it went and how good it looks. I don't know if it's possible for a roof to be "beautiful," but this one is really sharp-looking. My neighbor even commented on how nice it looks! I also wanted to say that I have been very happy with TGR's customer service. More on this in the next review, but I was worried there was a leak, and I texted Martin at 10 pm last night. He asked some good questions to help me troubleshoot and offered to have someone out today to check it out. I feel like everyone at TGR I've worked with has been friendly, competent, and good listeners. I do not feel like they are a "get it done and abandon the customer" sort of company, like so many of these firms. Honestly, I've had to deal with so many contractors this year, and it's usually an exhausting proposition. TGR's team, on the other hand, has been easy to work with. I would use them again, and probably will for a series of planned projects in the next few years.

The experience working with Dale and his company was incredibly disapointing. After an extensive conversation, and the understanding that we were on the same page, work began. They started on the patio and that looked good. But when they started on the fence alongside the house, there was one problem after another. The biggest issue is that even after extensive conversations about going around the trees, I came outside to find them hacking into the trees with an axe, to create dents to attach the fence to. This was not at all what we agreed to, and widely considered bad practice. Not only does it open up the tree to infection and possible death - but its bad for the fence, too! Trees grow, and will quickly bend fences out of shape. (And this was all after they'd hit one of the trees with a truck.) When I brought this to Dales attention, he simply denied everything. Denied it was what we talked about, and denied that it was bad practice. He didnt change his tune until I scheduled to have my (male) partner and a (male) arborist out to talk to him. Finally he admitted it was their mistake. The fence was poorly made in other ways as well. They used untreated nails, installed with a nail gun, instead of decking screws. These nails are now bleeding in the rain and leaving rust marks on the wood. They intially installed gates on both sides of the yard incorrectly, which had to be fixed. On one side, they cut a huge chunk out of the neighbors fence to force an ill-fitting clasp to (barely) work, rather than getting appropriate hardware. The gates for the front fence were also done wrong, and then swapped out, in a way that does not match in style. And as soon as the rain began, the gate has swollen so that it will not close at all. On top of all of this, a large crew was coming and going 6 days a week, starting early in the morning, and being very loud and disruptive to my neighbors. They parked their cars in neighbors driveways, played ball in the street, and kept a radio playing loudly. Other nusiances included their work truck breaking down and sitting in front of my house for a few days until a tow truck came for it, and their trailer and port-a-potty sitting in my driveway for two weeks after the work was complete. Not to mention leaving both construction mess and personal trash around the front and back yard. By the end of this experience I simply could not wait to have them gone, even though it means having to pay additional money to new contractors to fix their shoddy work.
