Northwest Surgical Specialists: Daniel A. Cusati, M.D.

Dr Cusati performed a simplified variation of a whipple surgery on me for a very rare tumor in my liver. As a 23 year old, in the midst of covid with no visitors, in a hospital 6 hours away from my closest family, I was terrified to say the least. He did a good job of fully explaining everything I needed to know for the surgery and left me with minimal scarring. The only reason for the one less star is due to his front office staff. It is nearly impossible to actually get in contact with someone and there have been several times that I was told "my office will be in touch with you for a follow up appointment or referral" and I never hear back.

I am an internist and have referred at least a half a dozen or so patients to Dr. Cusati. I can't say I have been less than delighted with his care, which is exemplary by any standards and second to none. I would gladly go under the knife if he were my surgeon. For those few who remain dissatisfied, I can honestly tell you that no surgeon has a perfect score!.

Dr. Cusati has the kind of bedside manner I wish all doctors had. I had to have emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction so I was pretty scared. From the moment I met him and his team I felt secure and that I was in good hands. He arrived every morning after the surgery, always on time and always with a pleasant demeanor. The day I was discharged I complimented his work and the medical team and he said, well, we love what we do here. That really meant a lot to me.
