Rented from them for 6 years and counting. They brag about 8 people managing 800 properties. That should be all you need to know. The other neg reviews about contractors, having to do your own repairs, etc. is something I have experienced too. When you send them an invoice for materials they do pay, though. That gets a star!

By far the best company I have rented from. Sadly we had to leave our rental due to the owner needing to move a sick family member in. But The office staff was very nice & always helpful. Maintenance always came the next day after putting in a request. The home was in a great location & we had no complaints! I would definitely rent again from Northwoods & will always recommend this company!

I would just like to let all of you renters out there know that Northwoods Property management is the real deal. If you find a rental that they manage....jump on that! I rented from a private party for years, who ended up turning the management of the property over to Northwoods about a year and a half ago. I was SO nervous because the only thing I've ever known in the past were awful property management companies. Well, Northwoods very quickly put me at ease with their responsiveness, reliability, and compassion. I can't thank them enough for making me feel like I actually matter to them and I'm not just a source of money.

My gf and I apply with this place for a house, $2000 a month. Submit apps for the house and pay the $45 app fee. Within hours we get reply emails saying the house isnt available, but Northwoods still process our apps, they run our credit and they take our $45. ( for a house they claim isnt available anymore??) 2 days later they denied both of us; saying we cant combine incomes because were not related and unverifiable rental history my gf and I contacted our property management, Umbrella and Emerald properties, both said no one from Northwoods ever called to verify us! My gf and I have been together for 2.5 years, weve had our own apts the entire time, three years! Both rents total $2,500, together we make over $8k a month. Apparently not good enough for Northwoods, because we dont share the same blood our $$ is not enough Why process our apps if they have this arbitrary policy of having to be related to combine incomes? Why run our credit, why take our $45? Especially for a house they claim is not available? Pretty sure theyre running an application fee racket be wary of this place folks!
