Chops Bistro

The food smells great, unfortunately in the hour and a half that we were there we never got the opportunity to eat (or even order).... I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday several days earlier. The 5 of us showed up on time to a forgotten reservation. No matter, we sat in the bar and were given a wine menu. Forty-five minutes later I asked if we could at least order an ap while we waited. Within 10 minutes we were seated in the dining area that was only half full. Frustrating that we were starving by then, and the table was free the whole time we waited. The dining room is beautiful. We were told the chef was overwhelmed (remember this fact). Several people were severing bread and water.... to other tables. Waited 15 more minutes before we begged for menus. Menus delivered, servers disappeared. At just over an hour and a half we left money on the table for the wine, with a tip. We just couldn't wait to eat any longer. Moved onto Sister's Saloon for a low key, less expensive, good atmosphere meal. There several patrons recognized us from Chops, said they didn't blame us for leaving and unfortunately that is what to expect there: under staffed and you can't expect to eat in a reasonable amount of time. The chef did a wonderful job on dinner. The server was pleasant.

I had the scallops dinner in my husband had the wagyu dinner. The scallops were cooked perfectly. As so was the stake, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. It was talkative but yet quiet. It was really nice. That's the best seafood I've ever had prepared.
