Excellent customer service, Kelly was very helpful helping me find the right unit needed for my stuff . Cant beat the prices . I definitely recommend Salem self storage .

The girl at the counter was amazing even though she was fighting a cold at the time. Changing my review from 5 to 2 stars. We switch from a small unit to a larger one with a heater in the lower center of back wall and was told to make sure that there was space around the heater. There was also damage in the unit that we were told would be fixed within a few days but 2 weeks later we finally got someone to fix it but still had to pay for those two weeks. A couple of months we went back later and the unit was freezing. Several items for damaged due to cold and damp. We gave verbal notice like we had with the prior unit and promptly moved everything to Trojan Storage. They overcharged with the auto pay and only because my account had been hacked and my card replaced where they not able to continue. They are still trying to charge me for storage and I have not been there for months.

Updated review. It was once a five star. I dont recommend this place at all. Ive been a customer for a very long time with no issue. I have autopay. Clearly something was messed up with either the bank or their system because it didnt pull the money this month. I was charged extra. I only get paid once a month, so their claim I had insufficient funds is wrong. I have two cards linked so idk if they used the wrong card. I would think after never having an issue for this long they would have better customer service. Im definitely going to clear out my stuff from this storage and not use them anymore once the snow lifts. Its expensive as it is, but charging me extra for something that wasnt my fault is terrible. Again, dont go here. They dont care if they make a mistake or if youve never had an issue. They claim they tried to run it three times, but I never got a phone call or notification. I had sufficient funds in my account. They dont care about their customers. Clearly this was a unique situation and something was messed up.
