*BEWARE* sneaky misconduct by Smile-A-Mile Painting business. They are unethical, despicable, & unprofessional, just a few of their good qualities. Losers kept my deposit money 5 months before shockingly, unexpectedly canceled my painting job, just 1 week before the appointment. Their lame excuse was my house is too far away & they did not have the staff. They refused to reschedule. They knew my house location when they provided an in-person painting quote, 5 months earlier, & then returned a few later to do the paint color match. Luckily I received a full refund of my deposit & avoided legal action by court for breech of contract. After months of seeking a reasonable resolution, executive management at Smile-A-Mile, specifically Chelsea Deitchler, master manipulator tricked me into filing a formal grievance & sending additional photos of my house. She dragged out the process >4 months. End result: She ignored me & failed to offer a grievance decision or resolution ! I confidently conclude that the toxic culture of apathy rolled down from top management in their WA headquarters to the Salem, OR office. I CANNOT recommend this disgusting company. Don't trust them like I did. I wasted substantial time over several months when I could have searched for an honest company, not easy, as you can see.

I really shouldnt even give this a one star review. I had this company come take pictures of my house for an estimate and they never returned. My call gave me the estimate online. I have not heard from them for about a month and a half now whether they want to paint my house if they didnt want to paint my house. All they had to do was call and let me know, I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants to get their House painted it is terrible customer service on their part.

W cannot speak more highly of the Smile-A-Mile crew! They are very professional and friendly. We had a very reasonable estimate that fit our budget. They were always on time and worked diligently throughout the day and a couple days until sunset! Our home really needed some clean up, living a couple blocks from the ocean here in Yachats OR. They power washed, scrapped, sanded, and did all the prep work necessary. They painted 3 days and did excellent work! They cleaned up everything after they were done. Now feel like I live in a new home! Thank you so much to the crew. We will call Smile-a-Mile anytime we need painting in the future.
Update: 10/31/23 Troubles with paint bubbling and pealing in places. We had sold the home. New owners called (5 times) and we hope Smile-a-Mile will take care of the problems. So far no response. We also are contacting. I added 3 photos of what the paint looks like as of this date.
Prior to moving the front door paint started pealing. They came out and painted it again but is it still holding?
I will change my star rating IF and when this is remedied. If it isn't the star rating goes to 1.
Dec 2023: Glad to update with excellent reviews. Smile-a-Mile contacted the new owners of our home and repainted. New owners very satisfied.
