Darren, owner of Salem Home Remodeling has down a brilliant job working on MANY fix-up and remedying areas of our 3000 square foot home. He completely re-tiled our guest bathroom floor, installed new toilet, new sink and plumbing, fixed multiple holes in the drywall throughout this older farmhouse (I can't tell there ever were holes now!), repainted, installed multiple light fixtures and electrical fixtures. He was highly responses to questions and when/if there were any questions on a fix, he quickly fixed what might need more attention..without complaining! You'll find Darren pleasant, easy to work with, and full of integrity. I'd highly recommend him and Salem Home Remodeling to anyone needing fix-up and remodeling done!

Yesterday, we had two young men from Salem Home Remodeling complete a myriad of small home repairs. We were very pleased with the quality of their work, their professional and courteous demeanor and the thoroughness of their work clean-up.
In sum, we will definitely use Salem Home Remodeling for all of our home repairs.

Working with Darren and his team, Salem Home Remodeling (SHR) was a great pleasure. We had several bids on this project, all but one we found on Angies list. While SHR was not the lowest cost option, we are so glad we chose to have Darren and his team help us. The total value SHR brought to this project is hard to put into dollars, but well worth the cost we spent over the lower cost bids. So why did we choose SHR? Darren was the only contractor who really had a vision for what our small feeling bathroom could become. It was so easy for him to see the possibilities that we had no idea were possible on a budget we could afford. We especially liked his idea on the entry to our new bathroom, Barn door style, with unique rolling hardware from Krown Labs, a local Portland company that sources all their materials in the local area. We like to support our local economy whenever possible, and there is just something neat about showing off the local craftsmanship you can find right in your own backyard.
Darren shared his vision with us and helped us see the possibilities. He provided computer drawings to show what it would look like and always had a strong sense of direction for how it would come together, which gave us confidence to move forward with such a big change and investment.
As with most complex and detailed tasks, our project had a few surprises along the way, but Darren was quick to inform me of them and if needed, he quoted out the additional costs to get the work completed to our satisfaction. One key point about Darren and his team, they can solve just about any problem you may have on your project, this was greatly appreciated and valued by our family, and gave us a strong feeling of confidence throughout the job.
I want to also point out that Darren and his team have a strong work ethic and take pride in the work they complete each day. This translates to an excellent final product with impeccable quality and craftsmanship. We really love our new Bathrooms, the work is excellent quality all the way around, down the smallest detail. Even the caulking is perfect! Wow!
