Rite Aid

Often shoddy/late service. Trouble getting standard meds (non-controlled) meds filled in a timely fashion; either because they aren't responding to emails/faxes from other doctors in a timely fashion or run out of very common run of the mill meds. Recently changed their pharmacy hours to close the pharmacy at 6pm! This is compared to a store closing time of 9pm and has now messed with my ability to pick up my meds (twice!) because of scheduling conflicts. Long time loyal patient finally driven away by poor service, stupidly restrictive hours and honestly, way to much drama at the "ghetto" store.

Had a horrible encounter today. Went to go pick up my pain medication after having a procedure done. They looked it up ONCE. Said they didnt have it and didnt talk to me at all after that. I called my dr while still in the store. The pharmacy helped one other customer during my phone call to which the drs office said it WAS indeed sent and that they had been trying to call the pharmacy for 10 minutes with no answer. The pharmacy then said they still havent received the medication. I left. My drs office called me back again and said its been sent and should be there. I called the pharmacy and the pharmacist was nothing short of rude. Yelling at me on the phone and threatening to withhold my prescription because of my attitude. I can barely open my mouth and had asked her to calm and not yell please. She became even more irate at this point and said she just wont fill the medication when she receives it so I wont be able to get it. I had to call my dr again and thankfully was able to send it to another pharmacy. Hopefully she releases it since they said that she (rite aid pharmacist) had the prescription there already
