The docs, hygienists and front desk personnel here are really personable, professional and thorough. Ive never enjoyed going to the dentist (does anybody, really?), but the people here make it a much better experience than Ive had in the past. They always take care to make sure Im comfortable, and make great recommendations for preventative daily routines. I feel good and really motivated about my dental hygiene for the first time in a long time.

I really love how Oregon Smile Center has taken care of me since I started visiting them about two years ago. I retired from the Army in 2016, and during my entire tenure there, I had to see a military dentist office annually (with the option to go twice per year), and while it was sufficient for dental health care, it wasn't a fun experience. So after I retired, I hadn't followed up on my dental visits for around 5 years, which was long enough that I was headed toward full blown periodontal disease. Eventually I had to be seen for another issue and I was nervous I'd get the same kind of experience I had in military dental offices that I never really loved. I'd joke that it was something akin to a strange person scraping my teeth with a knee in my chest while cussing me to do better at flossing. The Doctor I had (I think it was Dr. Wisseman) worked with Becca, who has become my regular hygienist, to assess how bad my oral health had become and got me in for treatment that would put me back on track. They were both super compassionate and nonjudgmental and had a gentle touch in all the scaling procedures. Since then Becca has been my hygienist and even after not seeing me for a 4 month stretch, she still remembered that I'm super weird about people looking in my mouth and dental stuff in general. And she remembered that I always apologize for my weirdness. (And she hilariously remembers to tell me "no apologies today, okay?" I've been well trained to not apologize since, and my last visit was apology free!....) After something like 5 visits, she's gotten me to expect the best kind of dental experience you can have while getting a cleaning at the dentist's office. She also remembered that my daughter's appointment (months ago) and that she came home cavity free. The professionalism and compassionate, personal touch this team delivers is what makes me keep my more expensive insurance so I can keep coming to the Oregon Smile Care Center. I really appreciate all they do, and they to it extremely well. THANK YOU OREGON SMILE CENTER!
