Options Counseling and Family Services

The trauma therapist I had never once asked me about my trauma. Never once discussed anything from the past. And multiple times I would complain about something and she would chastise me and tell me not to complain about people in my life. Horrible operation, and most of these therapists need their licenses revoked.

This place is a joke the counselors are a joke and need more help then the clients it's sad they get to pick and choose who they want to help don't take your kids to this place they just want to medicine them right away they are here for the money not to help .

I am looking for a new therapist. I am diagnosed with C-PTSD and suffer a chronic physical impairment. This organization is listed with multiple providers who meet my requirements. I called to get more information. I waited on the phone for over 53 minutes. The outgoing message loop is a 40 second message that repeats after a 10 second pause. I listened to it many times, obviously. The last statement in this message is stay on the line for answers to frequently asked questions. In 53 minutes of waiting, I never arrived at this part of the promised message. Additionally, the reason that the call ended at 53 minutes was stated that they could not complete my call, said goodbye and disconnected me. It saddens me that as a person trying to access services, the industry treats the marginalized society it is supposed to serve so poorly. As I waited, I accessed the organization's website. I didn't receive much better service there, either. Since I was looking for answers to questions, I clicked on the link for FAQs, (Frequently Asked Questions). The only content was advice on how to fill out a resume or job application. As a person who can longer meet the requirements of gainful employment due to mental AND CHRONIC PHYSICAL illness, this was not helpful to me at all. If you can't even get basic questions answered about services within an hour of committed time, why would I want to seek services from an organization that isn't doing it's best by the community it's mission says it is trying to serve?
