Cascade Balanced Books

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I feel I must in this circumstance. If you are looking for a bookkeeper to do payroll and taxes, look somewhere else. Cascade Balanced Books does great at the sale, but don't follow through on the service. When I first decided to work with Cascade Balanced Books, I was told there would be an onboarding meeting where they would make sure they had all the information in order to take over payroll and taxes. I waited several weeks and heard nothing from them. I had to initiate and schedule the onboarding meeting, and during the meeting they did not ask me any questions. They did not seem to have a process in place for onboarding, they did not seem to know what they were doing, and I did not feel that they would take care of my payroll and taxes in a professional manner. I had to remind Cascade Balanced Books staff numerous times what our payroll schedule was, because they made several mistakes (both forgetting to do the payroll all together and then doing it on a payroll schedule that wasn't correct) and asked that they create a calendar. They must have created one internally, but I was never allowed to confirm that their calendar was what my organization needed. In addition, I asked them to take a look at the tax rate in QuickBooks for my organization, and their CPA got an ego about it and told me that 'she's doing the taxes' and that I shouldn't worry about it. So rather than actually check the tax rate for my organization, she didn't check it, the rate was wrong and she really messed up our books. I cannot with good conscience suggest that anyone use Cascade Balanced Books.

Cascade Balanced Books has helped our company save so much time. I have handed over time consuming jobs to them and they have finished them faster than I was able too. They are effective and knowledgeable. I will recommend them to anyone.
