Swift Steel

My husband called 45 minutes before they closed, asking to buy 2 pieces of steel. He was driving to their store and was only a few minutes away. A woman got on the phone and said to him you had all day and you waited until 45 minutes before we close? and she said she refused to sell him the steel, regardless of the fact that it would have taken them 15 minutes to load, tops, and he would have been cashed out and gone before they closed. Every experience we have had with this place, the women working at the front are rude, unprofessional, and have terrible attitudes.

I have never written a review for a company before, but I believe it is important for potential customers of Swift Steel to be aware of the unfriendly demeanor displayed by some of the female staff members. Over the past 15 years, I have been a loyal customer of Swift Steel, and it has been a rare occurrence to encounter any of the women in the office in a pleasant mood. They seem to take it upon themselves to act impolitely and convey a sense of inconvenience towards customers purchasing steel. Even during significant steel projects where I have placed delivery orders, I have consistently faced disrespectful behavior from the office staff. Whether it was a large or small quantity order, the level of service remained consistently poor. Therefore, the size of the purchase does not influence the quality of service provided. I have made the decision to discontinue purchasing steel from Swift Steel. Today, I experienced a frustrating incident where I was refused the opportunity to buy a full-length 2 square stock, just 45 minutes before closing time. The staff member mentioned that I had "all day" to make the purchase, despite being unaware of my project details or schedule. This lack of consideration for customers within business hours is unacceptable. When I inquired about her assumptions regarding my availability, she simply suggested that I seek the steel elsewhere. This disappointing customer service encounter marks the end of my relationship with Swift Steel. Moving forward, I will be sourcing steel for my upcoming commercial projects from alternative providers. I intend to advise my business connections to explore other options for their steel needs as well.

Good selection of materials. Office staff is unfriendly and they won't allow you to self load but insist you come back the next day to pick up, even with small orders. Prices are high.
