Great experience buying a home from Hayden. We viewed a lot of new construction lots and definitely felt the most comfortable and taken care of by everyone we met and worked with.

My house isnt even two years old and its falling apart. Problems: heating & cooling have come 10+ times because the AC/heat doesnt work, the concrete pad on the side of our house had to be redone because when it rains/snows we have water leaking into our garage (still unresolved), all caulking has cracked, all the bathroom fixtures have fallen off the wall, the fence is deteriorating and was done so poorly (uneven cuts), we have had 2 walls literally crumble down to the drywall, entire interior needs to be repainted, took over a year to get a kitchen cabinet, takes 15 attempts to close windows because the latches dont align, we have to tighten our doorknobs every single week. The straw that really broke the camels back for me- this week the front porch completely detached/cracked from the driveway and is sinking into the ground. There are cracks all over the porch, not just where it completely broke apart. HH blamed it on the fact that we dont have gutters- HA! They arent going to fix it because our 1 year warranty is up, seems like my entire porch falling apart should be covered, especially considering we have had other concrete problems. Due to the construction behind our house and the blasting that was occurring there was a pre-blast inspection, but we never received a post-blast assessment like we were promised. Very frustrating when this is my first home, worked REALLY hard to purchase, to find out the quality is awful. I will never buy a HH house again.

If you buy from Hayden, your home warranty is useless if you have anything substantial that requires fixing. They will be quick to respond and accommodate you for all things small, but as soon as you have something big, you will hear crickets. Hayden contractors did not compact the utility trench that runs my entire block properly. As a result, only four years later, my driveway and all my neighbors' driveways are collapsing in on themselves. I have filed two claims, and each time they came out, they looked at it and admitted there was a problem. The first time, the guy went totally silent, so I filed another claim. Sam, the new rep who I filed a claim with, has also gone completely silent. He tried to placate me with the driveway crack sealant to get me to drop the claim, but it's far from a fix. I have since tried to contact him, and he has not gotten back to me with any official denial of the claim or any official response. He has gone silent like the last guy. I think this is their strategy with large claims. They try to placate you with little fixes, and then, if you keep pushing for a real solution, they ignore you. They don't officially deny your claim, so you can take the next steps. They just don't get back to you at all. This keeps you in a limbo, and they are hoping that you will give up and go away. So, yeah. Hayden doesn't stand behind it's work and they have little integrity and don't expect them to help you if you have any major issues. They will leave you in perpetual silence, hoping that you just go away. If someone from Hayden wants to contact me and resolve this issue, I am all ears. You can respond to this review with your contact information, and I will contact you. Update 02/10/24: After sending a screenshot of this review to Sam, he did come out and meet with me and my neighbor, and he denied the claim. He said his higher-ups said that "settling" is part of the contract and not covered. I doubt that any amount of settling is okay, especially when it's clearly a compaction issue and probably from also not using proper backfill. The contract covers them on a reasonable level of settling, and this is not within reason, and they know it. The entire block has large dips where the utility trench was dug. Some people's driveways are totally ruined, and a buyer would want some type of concession in the price to have it fixed. It's only been four years, and some people's driveways are destroyed, and our lawns have big dips in them where the utility trench was. I doubt if I took this to court, any judge would agree with Hayden that it's normal settling not covered under the warranty. Yet they are banking on the fact that I don't have the money time and resources to take them to court. They know they should fix this, but it will be expensive for them, so they are hiding behind some flimsy language in the contract that probably wouldn't hold up in court. Basically, I force me to take them to court and spend a bunch of money to get anything done. From my experience, i believe there is no integrity when it comes to major issues.

So my older friend was trying to possibly buy a house from Hayden homes, this company offers 25,000 in bonuses in BIG BOLD writing on the front of the site for new buyers. My buddy was told that his neighborhood would not qualify for this bonus... This is FALSE advertising and my cousin does tik-tok videos with 9.5 million views and has THOUSANDS of followers about landscaping and home remodeling. They're working on making a video right now about their false advertising. I would give them O stars if I could. Watch out for these guys trying to trick customers. And the worse part is, my friend is a SENIOR CITIZEN and they are trying to take advantage of him, if anyone else is dealing with the false advertising, please leave a message and leave a review. Let potential buyers know the truth! They can't get away with trying to trick people!"
