I've had a really great experience working with Sunshine @ Terra Staffing. After a setback on a different job/position (no fault of hers or mine) I feel like she persevered to find me something else of a similar vein, and landed me at LIT Workshop, a temp/hire position that I have no doubt I'll be working well into the future. Sunshine didn't forget about or give up on me. To that point, everyone I have ever interacted with at Terra - on the phone or in person - has been professional and very helpful. It's great to feel like I don't have to continue to look for work. What a relief.

When I first started with Terra Staffing Group everything was great. Got hired on quickly at a place called Boyd started working everything was good. A situation between me and another co worker at Boyd happened and unfortunately Boyd let me go but Terra Staffing group recruiter Jamie L is who called me and let me know Boyd was letting me go and said she no longer could help me and now I can't even get a hold of anyone at Terra Staffing Group. I've left messages and such and I have yet to hear back and that was over a week ago. Also Jamie L told me Boyd is her highest paying job and that she would get back to me on finding another recruiter for other opportunities for work but has not and has ignored my phone calls. She also told me she only works with 1 company and that's just Boyd. Boyd also pays at $17 an hr. I feel like she is more on a buddy buddy basis with Boyd then being a good support system. Also 2 people were let go before me. 1 on my first week he walked right off because of the same CO worker with me and the 2nd they just let go. My experience started out great but ended uncomfortably and me without a job. I am hoping no body else is being treated this exact way. If so please speak up. It isn't fair to those who actually need work and need to take care.of their family and bills.

Terra has potential to be a good employer, however there are a few key problems holding them back. 1) The jobs you get through them are all hard, low pay, labor positions that nobody really wants. They need to expand what work they offer. 2) This is the worst thing, ***YOU HAVE NO LEGAL PROTECTION FROM BAD EMPLOYERS*** If you are abused in any way Terra will side with the employer and will fire you from Terra after 5 incidents regardles of circumstances. You can forget about lawyers helping you none of them will touch a temp case. I was fired for saying that pushing heavy cargo off one forklift with another forklift onto a customer truck bed was a bad idea and that lift straps would be safer. I was fired for not being able to lift 300lb loads when they only asked for 50lb lifting in the listing. I was fired when a supervisor began yelling at me when I took too many robot auto-storage crates away from the loading dock where the supervisor worked to the actual robot that needed them. I was fired for refusing to connect a ground wire in an industrial sand blaster the way the supervisor said. Bear in mind the way he specified caused my hands and arms to be continuously shocked by static electricity. My way of connecting the ground wire completely protected me from static shock. Terra's staff are all polite, professional, and reasonably responsive when you ask them regularly for help, however jobs can go quickly so you must check frequently and act quickly. None of these positives matter however when one bad supervisor on a power trip can lie about you and sac you in a matter of minutes.
