Something people don't tell you when buying your first home is that you really need to put a lot of trust in your team (realtor, lender, broker, inspectors, etc.) Particularly for your realtor, honestly, you need to like them too because you're going to be spending a lot of time together and communicating often. Maureen Swan is responsive, proactive, knowledgeable and has a lot of connections. She's also very easygoing and nice to talk with. All of those qualities are major assets to a buyer during the homebuying process. I felt like Maureen truly had my best interest at heart and displayed that through the search, negotiations with the seller's agent, following up through and after closing. Wildly grateful for Maureen. My friends are amazed when I tell them about my experience and many expressed how disappointed they were in their own buying experience due to flighty, inattentive or disingenuous realtors. Choose Maureen! Or at least choose someone that's been vetted by others already.

Maureen is the ultimate full service agent! Her experience and working knowledge of the market make working with her your best option when both selling a property and acquiring a new one. I cant say enough about the ease with which she helps you move through the process. She understands the emotional component of letting go of an old home and committing to a new one. There are also many legal documents involved in the buying and selling of a home and she moves you through these with ease while simultaneously paying attention to the details that matter in the end. I would refer Maureen and Portland Proper to my closest friends and family, and indeed I have.

Maureen and the rest of the team stuck with us throughout the hectic housing market until we managed to secure a home. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the experience.

We worked with Maureen to buy our first house this Spring. She was terrific! She was knowledgeable, responsive, and always positive in a tough market. I could tell she had good rapport and communication with the seller's agents. She was a great fit for us as first time home buyers--very patient with walking us through a new process. I also appreciated how helpful she was during the inspection with coordination in a short time frame. She even helped us coordinate contractors to give us estimates for work we wanted to do on the house, and she came to the house to help with that process after close. I would definitely recommend her!
