I'm still looking for a place for me and my sister and her boyfriend to live the experience that they've shown so far has been really well there was good pictures and I'm hoping for great customer service thank you.

City Houses has decided to undergo relentless projects at Lindhurst Apartments in the year 2020, while we're all forced to stay home more because of Covid, and lean on our homes for peace of mind. This spring/summer/fall has been myriad of dust pollution, downing trees, tearing up grass and replacing it with gravel, treeing trimming every day, etc. City Houses has now decided to reside Lindhurst Apartments during our December Covid lockdown and the holiday season. (Edit: To be clear this residing is not an upgrade. There was no insulation added, the apartments are just as cold/drafty as they ever were. This is merely a superficial project.) And the management company will constantly try to gaslight you by telling you none off this affects you because it's not happening inside your apartment. Update: 7/15/2021 Relentless projects are still under way. It has been more than a year of living in a construction zone, during a pandemic, with an apathetic, condescending manager. Horrible! If you're looking for a tranquil home, like I was and thought I'd found, keep looking. If your cool being a rent check, not worried about constant noise/dirt pollution, and only care about your four walls this is your place.

In 20 years of renting in Portland I have never been treated as disrespectfully as I've been treated by City Houses Inc. As a renter I am first and foremost a customer, yet the people at City Houses Inc. have zero regard for either me or my home. Since moving in there have been an endless series of problems with my plumbing from broken faucets to leaking pipes. When responding to my maintenance requests the repairs are always haphazard and the replacement parts are of inferior quality than the ones being replaced. After one such 'repair' I noticed a mysterious charge on my rent bill. When I asked about this charge I was told I was being billed for travel time. The maintenance crew are headquartered at my building and when I told City Houses that billing me travel time was unlawful they lectured me on the proper care of pipes and then acted like they were doing me a favor by eliminating the charge. Throughout 2020 City Houses has embarked on an endless series of landscaping projects around my building. Everyday there are strange people wandering the courtyards, cutting limbs off trees and uprooting grass and flowering plants to be replaced with gravel. The noise and mess have been unbearable and have all but rendered the courtyard unusable. When I inquired early on about why all this was happening during a pandemic and mass quarantine I was informed that none of the work was being done inside my apartment and was therefore none of my business. City Houses is immoral and gleefully malicious. RENTERS BEWARE!
