Dr. Hegewald is a great surgeon and everything you would hope for. From the consultation all the way through getting cleared as fully recovered, he took great care of me and the end result is better than I could have hoped for. I have even received a lot of compliments and comments from friends and associates around the medical field along the way...how great the incision and staples were...how clean it looked...great coloring and no swelling. Dr. Hegewald was my surgeon who repaired my Achilles tendon. He was very thorough explaining different options and details of the procedure to me ahead of time which was helpful in my decision making. After surgery, he was accessible and communicative, and continued to see me regularly throughout the year following the surgery to ensure everything was on track. I had a positive experience and appreciate the combination of his skill, care, and his patience answering my long lists of questions. And best of all, Im back in action!

Dr. Hegewald is amazing! My husband was admitted to the hospital with a very serious infection in both feet, and we were lucky enough that Dr. Hegewald was assigned to us. He is so thorough, and extremely knowledgeable in diabetic feet and issues surrounding that. We never knew about Charcot foot - he is an expert. 3 surgeries later, Dr. Hegewald has saved my husbands feet/legs and LIFE. And bonus - he has a great bedside manner!. I only wish he could be our Primary Care Physician.

Dr. Hegewald was the surgeon who repaired my left ankle dislocation and fracture after a nasty fall. Six months later I am back to hiking and biking and expect to make a full recovery. He and his team were easy to work with and answered all of my questions.

Dr. Hegewald is a wonderful surgeon. He is very knowledgeable, informative, caring and professional. He always takes time to answer all my questions. I feel very cared for and am so glad he did my ankle surgery and follow up. I am 64 and this experience in health care has been the best Ive had.
