I do NOT recommend! I used to work at the Pearl location (now closed), and I was appalled at how poorly run this business was. Daycare is too small for 40+ dogs, there were usually no planned activities, dogs got bored and barked all day, and then got screamed at by the clueless staff. Dogs would get hurt and their injuries were not seen and taken care of right away. There were many safety concerns for the staff and dogs, including some negligence and sanitary issues. There were questionable management methods, disrespectful staff members, unethical treatment of staff by the owner, an unorganized system, and some outdated business practices. There was a high turnover of employees, no training offered in dog behavior or first aid, constant miscommunication between staff members, and passive management who refused to fix ongoing problems. All the incompetence by the staff and management constantly put the dog's safety at risk. On a daily basis during nap time some dogs were put into crates, then stacked on top of each other and put in a small closet with the door closed for over an hour! During my time there I was bullied by another employee, I told the manager and nothing was done about it. I was blamed for something that I didn't do, was screamed at and told by management that I couldn't leave, it was traumatizing. The owner has had questionable judgement, and I believe she uses manipulation and intimidation to control her employees. It was well known by many employees that the owner withheld our tips! My guess is that she pocketed the cash tips, this is stealing. This is not a safe place to take your dog and a terrible place to be employed. Suzanne, you need to do better and treat other women with respect. You are exploiting young naive people who have little work experience and little knowledge of how to navigate an abusive work environment. You know exactly what you are doing when you expect your workers to do many different jobs for a low minimum wage, under the threat of getting in trouble or being yelled at. Your business is failing because of your incompetence and inability to correct mistakes. I absolutely did NOT deserve to be treated with such disrespect and hostility when I worked for you. Now I know better. :)
