I am so happy we found Emerald K9! Their one-on-one grooming service is one of the best Ive ever experienced. My pup, Cohen, is an anxious boy, but he settled in very quickly and loves his time with Kaley. We couldnt be happier! I would highly recommend using their services!

For the past two years, my large standard poodle and I have been regular clients of Kaley at Emerald K9 Grooming, and it has been an absolutely delightful experience. Right from our first visit, Kaley's exceptional skills and warm approach have made each grooming session something to look forward to. What sets Kaley apart is her meticulous attention to detail. She treats every grooming session like she's preparing for a dog show. Her work is not just grooming; it's an art. She understands the unique needs of standard poodles, applying techniques that highlight their elegant features while ensuring they're comfortable throughout the process. Moreover, her use of top-quality products ensures that my poodle's coat is not only looking its best but also remains healthy and vibrant. Kaley's expertise in handling and styling large breeds, particularly poodles, is evident in her flawless scissoring and styling techniques. She's always ready to go the extra mile, whether it's a specific cut we want to try or dealing with the occasional tangle. I found Kaley on Google back in July of 2021. I had just moved to Portland from the East Coast and was looking for someone caring and skilled to take over grooming my dog Spoon. Spoon had been groomed primarily in New York City and on Marthas Vineyard, but he also traveled with me to 28 cities across the USA in two years and got groomed in about half those destinations. He has seen many groomers, had many good cuts and MANY bad. Unfortunately, we had never lived anywhere long enough for Spoon to get the chance to build a strong trusted bond with a groomer. I knew Id be in Portland for a while, and I was determined to find someone special for him. Kaley from Emerald K9 turned out to be the most caring, skilled (like, master level), attentive and thoughtful groomer I had ever encountered. I appreciated that she, unlike most groomers, held many certifications and had won awards for her grooming. It is shocking how little qualifications one can have to open a grooming business. I was immediately impressed and felt confident Spoon would be in good hands. Good didnt even TOUCH the stratospheric level of skill Kaley possessed. I was blown away. She was communicative from the start about how she was handling Spoons grooming anxiety, listened to my feedback after the first grooms and was eager to exceed my expectations the next time. That she did. Every freaking time. Spoon visited Kaley once every 8 weeks for a bath and clean up and then the months in between for a full groom. He always looked perfect. I lived in a 200+ unit apartment building, and almost daily a different neighbor would remark to me in the elevator, Oh! Someone got groomed! even if it had been weeks since he had seen Kaley. He truly looked like a show dog. After almost two years in Portland, Spoon and I are headed back to the East Coast and have to say goodbye to our dear friend and master groomer Kaley. I am devastated and unsure if Ill ever find someone like her to groom Spoon anywhere near as meticulously and thoughtfully! Luckily, Kaley is well connected in the master groomer community and has agreed to help us find another groomer who will keep Spoon liking and feeling amazing. If youre looking for a groomer in the Portland OR area, dont even bother calling anyone else. CALL KALEY!!!!! Your dog will thank you.
