Providence Southwest Pediatrics - Portland

I have been grateful for this clinic and have been coming here on and off for almost 18 years. I have always experienced a welcoming environment from the office staff, medical assistants, and my child's providers. We have all received courteous and respectful service. Upon arriving at the building, the people you encounter are all very welcoming. Thank you, SW Pediatrics, for having such amazing employees.

We absolutely love SW pediatrics! They are a very busy practice, but always are able to get you in pretty quick for an appointment. Dr. Larson is always so wonderful and advocates for our toddler.

My 5 year old and I waited 30 minutes here today before giving up and leaving. I received a call 15 minutes later saying they had apparently been looking for my kid and I for 15 minutes Whats the point of an appointment if you truly have no clue when / if youre going to be seen? Why make the appt? Respect for peoples time and common courtesy would be appreciated. If Id been given a heads up that things were running behind, I couldve come later or rescheduled completely. I dont just have a spare 30 minutes really on *any* day. I wasted a 35 minute one way drive + 30 minutes sitting in a chair just to not have my child seen. Disappointing.

This place is a disaster since our favorite pediatrician left. The one we were assigned today, Dr. Gail Jacoby obviously didnt attend classes in medical school on how to talk to patients and has a horrible aggressive bedside manner that left both myself and my two daughters very upset. Everything that came out of this womans mouth was either negative or judge-mental! Instead of suggesting and this without knowing the patient history, she had strong opinions - not based on facts or common sense but assuming the worst after every question and not listening- cutting us off and just blabbering-Worse the clinic and the hospital lost my youngers medical records from just nine months ago! Theyre saying the records went with the doctor who left moving to Hawaii!!! Records do not go with the doctor leaving the state! But now I know why the good doctor left this place is a shshow. Dont recommend and we immediately found another doctor- one who knows how to talk to people- especially young people - empowering and educating- not demeaning and preaching.
