I felt like the doctor really didn't know my medical history and didn't really care. He made snap decisions with no information. I knew he wasn't understanding what I was trying to say and when I tried to clarify, he interrupted me often. I waited 6 months for my appointment and I was quite disappointed.

My experience was for seeing Dr. Jafari the other day. I was originally scheduled for another provider for a first available appointment all the way out in June, but was able to be seen by Dr. Jafari sooner based on a cancellation. While Im sure the providers here are all quite competent and caring, my experience was less than stellar. I spent maybe 3 minutes in the room with the provider in total, only for her to tell me she wasnt familiar with the condition my referring provider suspected (the entire reason for the referral). Rather than do any level of basic research using clinical reference tools (like UpToDate or something else), she simply told me my symptoms didnt sound concerning and wasnt something she treated. Maybe that really is the same thing any other neurologist would have done, but it was just so mechanical and terse that I wasnt really able to respond normally or ask questions before the provider was gone. I hope your experience here is better than mine, but wanted to share just in case it helped anyone.
