        As a funeral director, my numerous interactions with MedCure have been unpleasant and unprofesional. They were supposed to pick up a loved one in our care yesterday and never showed up nor called. I urge anyone considering MedCure to read the online article "Cashing in on the donated dead: The Body Trade (A REUTERS SERIES)" to make sure they are comfortable with MedCure's business practices. From the article: "Generally, a broker can sell a donated human body for about $3,000 to $5,000, though prices sometimes top $10,000. But a broker will typically divide a cadaver into six parts to meet customer needs."

        My daddy passed away on April 17, 2022. This has been such a devastation and the two gentlemen that came to pick my dads body up were very sweet. Im looking forward to receiving his ashes as Im going to have something made from them. I want to donate my body as well.

      MedCure does not make a profit from our generous donors. We abide by both the Uniform Anatomical Gift Act (UAGA) and Section 274e of the Organ Transplant Act, which prohibit the buying or selling of organs or tissues. MedCure is also voluntarily accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB), remaining compliant with a set of rigorous ethical standards and best practices, and ensuring every gift of whole-body donation is matched with verified and legitimate research and education programs.We understand that our strict process may have caused you inconvenience, but we must follow it to ensure the ethical and respectful treatment of all our donors.MedCure strongly recommends working with an AATB-accredited body donation program, no matter which one you choose to recommend to your families.
