I'm Ryan May, a 3rd stripe white belt and soon to be blue belt in BJJ, i want to say this is one of the best acadamies you could go to in Oregon. With its amazingly helpful teachers and an amazing curriculum, it's most certainly worth the money, I couldn't recommend this place more!

The two things that make Northwest Fighting Arts really special to me are the quality of coaching and the community. The coaches have each worked incredibly hard in their own right and can translate their knowledge in an accessible way. If you find the art of fighting engaging after your free trial, you'll absolutely get a lot out of the gym. Especially if you come in early or stay after class to refine your form. If you invest your time, energy, and focus, Muay Thai can become more than an after work stress reliever and actually help you feel more present in your body. The more you give, the more you will receive. Secondly, I'd like to shout out the community of the gym. More than any other gym I've experienced, there exists a diversity of students in body shape and skill level here. Should you invest yourself into Muay Thai for instance, you'll most likely find at least one other student who looks like you that has pushed themselves to the next level. I've personally found people to be open to sharing advice and helping others grow. On a related note, the culture of communication and the way you can ease into sparring is really approachable. 8 out of 8 points of contact.
