Apogee Landscapes completely transformed my yard. I hired a landscape designer early in 2022 to help me come up with a plan, and then the landscaper she partnered went out of business (thanks COVID). I am happy I found Apogee instead.The design included removing all grass and lots of damaged concrete/flagstone, adding two rain gardens (one down a steep hill and another by the gutter in my back yard, creating a flagstone patio for a fire pit, and removing and replacing a crumbling back deck. I searched and searched and Apogee was the first landscaper who could do the entire project.They gave me a realistic timeline and a very detailed estimate and partnered with my landscape designer. Molly was a delight to work with and the owner Michael offered up some cost saving options for me to consider. I was amazed and very impressed with how much work the team accomplished each day. My neighbor was gracious and let the team use her driveway for easier access, and Apogee gave her a thank you gift (a lovely plant) at the end of the project. My only challenge throughout was knowing which days of the week the team would arrive - but in the end the entire project looks amazing, and they came in right on budget. Apogee landscapers where you don't get what you paid for. Your final bill will be unbelievably higher than the original estimate. Poor specimens. He is pompous and charges by the minute. Some of the specimens that he brought and planted in my " landscape" were of such poor quality I'm going to have to take them out. He removed grass in part of my yard that was not to be removed. He did not consult me and offered poor remedies to replace that part of my scapeNever would I recommend this busisness.

Well I guess they must be doing well enough to be totally insultingly pompous to possible new clients. If your sentence starts with "I don't mean to come off as insulting or pompous", you are probably going to do just that sir. I have a pretty large landscaping job where we are completely redoing our front yard. I asked if we could get an estimate and his response was that he didn't want to bother if it was unlikely he would actually get the bid. Well, I wouldn't be calling if I wasn't looking for someone to do the job. Then he said he would do the estimate if we paid him $50 because he is a busy man and his time is worth money. I asked if that was standard to charge for estimates and he said in this case it was. Not sure what I said to make him think we were not serious paying customers. So I am supposed to pay you to come bid on a job without knowing if your design or prices are going to suck? No thanks.

Apogee just finished re-landscaping the back of my rental property. Michael met with me and took his time learning about my requirements, presented me with a reasonable design quote and had a good design back to me in a week. I elected to go forward with the landscaping, and the work went according to plan and the results were exactly as promised. Apogee showed up on the day and at the time they said they would and completed the job faster than expected. Overall an excellent experience. I highly recommend Apogee for your landscaping and maintenance needs!

Apogee just completed a bamboo removal and cedar fence design/construction job in our residential yard in NE Portland. Awesome results. Michael is laid back and flexible but also very professional- he's a great listener and will tailor the job to suit your needs. Having had a less than great working relationship with a contractor who did some work on our house recently, we were worried that once the job started morphing a bit from its initial design, that the changes would automatically equate to an inflated bill at the end of the project. Michael was straightforward and clear about the changes from his initial estimate (all due to our evolving requests), and the final bill felt reasonable for the type of work and quality of craftsmanship Apogee puts into a project. Highly recommended.
