Wow! Terrible customer service. Too bad Yelp doesn't allow zero stars. I called wanting to buy an expensive package of several policies. I explained I'm on a deadline; must have policy certificates in-hand next week. Woman at this company told me someone would call me back next week, mid-week at the earliest. So I called their competitor who asked a few questions and will have certificates to me by end of the day today.

I had a similar experience as Suzy's. I got the impression that this company wasn't interested in the burden of having any new clients. It took literally one month to get the employees to respond with enough information to get their forms filled out. To boot, we had to push for another month to get clear info about exactly what was covered. Sadly it seems this is the only legitimate event insurance company in Portland.

We have used this company, as do our associates in the Bay Area. They were always very nice and provided prompt, considerate services. I especially appreciated Brigitt who worked hard (and very patiently)  with us to answer numerous questions. They provided good insurance options and they are very experienced in their field.

Since 2004, the local burning man community has used Gales Creek to insure both indoor and outdoor events.  They have been extremely flexible and competitive.  I would recommend to anyone requiring event insurance.

We hired them for our annual 400 person event because they were the lowest cost.  Well, we got what we paid for. We hired them for about three years without having any claims, then in 2013, when one of our volunteers was injured at the event and we used them for the first time, it took them over a year (closer to 18 months) to pay him, by which time his medical bills had already gone to collections and his credit was ruined.  In addition, they refused to even respond to my emails for a quote the next year. No explanation, just never responded and I had to find coverage by another company very quickly. So, lowest cost, but useless when needed and they will drop you as soon as you need them is my experience.  If you actually care about the people you are covering, look elsewhere.
