        Stay strapped or get clapped at this highly securitized Fred Meyer. Let's be real, it's extremely cringe. If the store can't stay open without armed guards and prison camp gates it should just close. Gets one star because the staff are very nice.

        The staff here are delightful, so they get their own star. 0 stars for the actual establishment. I am so sick of shopping with armed guards lurking around every corporate-owned business. It is a high chance and legit concern I'm going to get shot by some wanna be cop while trying to buy eggs while they protect the bathrooms from being used. 'Murica, even in the heart of Portland. Definitely why I go to Bread and Roses Market instead. Or ABC Market. Or Natural Grocers. Or H Mart. Or Shun Fat Market. Literally any other grocer.
