The first time the floor in my business was laid, the CF&I installer put it on the wrong underlayment, causing the warrantee to be void. There are 2 drains in this room, and no sealing was done around the drains so water could go right into the underlayment. In addition, the cut in the floor for the drains could have been done better by a kindergartner with scissors -- looked terrible. Finally, the contract with CF&I and the contractor states that there would be rubber base installed . Not only was it not installed (never communicated to the installer) but the floor was not sealed against the wall -- obvious gaps remained. I have large equipment in this room. Installer had to fly BACK out -- uninstall it, wait for the floor to be done, and reinstall it. ($5000). The second installation they sent out the SAME installer with the SAME instructions. At least this time the underlayment was corrected, but no rubber base, no removal of the baseboards, and drain holes cut by a kindergartener. After last minute adjustments, the installer was given a new plan. Completely half-assed it AND when I came in the next morning there was a 3 foot bubble in the floor in one place and a 1 foot bubble in another. Overall a horrible experience, and of course I have no confidence that this floor will stand up to time.
