As someone who gets anxious about going out and doing anything physical around others. I have to say IKO Movement has been the best place for me to work out and not feel anxious, judged, or uncomfortable. When I go to the gym I usually sit in my car for a few minutes trying to get myself inside the building. Here Im excited to get out and see what Lillian has to teach me. All the coaches are so supportive and helpful during every class, it really makes you feel like you can achieve any stretch/pose thats being taught.

The community is what makes this place special and what keeps me coming back. The pricing now is on par with other pole places here in Portland but I understand how the recent change might affect some people. The studio is in a great place to access via public transit. The coaches care about each student and their progress and goals. The students here support and encourage each other. I would recommend this studio to anyone who wants to give pole a shot like I did two years ago. I hope more classes become available and the business is sustainable. This space is inclusive but may not fit everyones needs in terms of personal preference. I know some may not like the personal touch to each class. But I absolutely love it!! I like that we talk to each other and encourage each other. This place is also special because they care about the people that work in the clubs and s workers. Lots of the coaches have experience within the str!p clubs and respect for s workers. Its not just fitness here!

Signed up for one of Lillians private classes, and wasnt disappointed. She is very detail oriented and makes sure to assist you in any way possible. You can tell she cares about all her students and their progression. I will be signing up for more private lessons, and maybe even a couple group sessions.

Unresponsive. I have been kindly reaching out for tax/ legal purpose but I havent gotten a simple response. Unprofessional. Hard to find parking. The entrance is sketch, smelly, and feels unsafe. I got a response for the same question by having to make another email. I was a paying customer that paid for two series and a few other classes and I was really hoping to continue my journey here. after taking a class, Lillian said she would help me out to purchase after class. Nobody was at the front. I asked another instructor at the time who was about to teach her next class and wasnt too sure how to use the iPad. She expressed her annoyance about having to type my card in. I wish the staff was more positive and direct with communication. This a great studio for people who want a more social experience/ group therapy. I am here to train. Im an empath so I rather not listen to other peoples personal life updates. I dont need more thoughts in my brain that I didnt pay for. I would attend a social event if I wanted that. But I get it its a business and they want to build rapport. Its a part of keeping customers. Its superficial. classes are pricey for what you get. I regret this being my first pole studio I went to. Also I didnt appreciate during a deep stretch class that Lillian compared students progress. it made me feel bad for the level I was at in a stretch, as if it wasnt good enough. I just get the vibe Lillian just doesnt like me and is pretty selective with who she lets in to her studio. I see. The avoidance, passive aggression, and lack of communication made me feel like going to class was more of a chore or obligation I had to go to because I spent my hard earned money in a place where I didnt feel welcomed or accepted. Overall, based on my experience, I would NOT recommend this studio to a friend or family. I am one to truly support businesses but not this one unfortunately. My money went to the trash for sure.
